Fonda was invited to attend the 2022 Light + Building – The World’s Leading Trade Fair for Lighting and Building Services Technology.  At that time we will exhibit one of Fonda lamp controllers—Cat.1.

Cat.1 which means Long Term Evolution (LTE) is a fourth-generation (4G) connectivity standard. It generates a number of low-power, wide area network (LPWAN) products that are designed for use in industrial, commercial, and consumer-driven IoT area. Fonda's smart lighting solutions with Cat.1 are suitable in more applications, such as street lights, facade lighting, tunnel, parking lot, gas station, park, island etc.

The key features of Cat.1 are as follows:

1. Data rates

Cat.1 offers maximum speeds of 10 Mb/s for downlink and 5Mb/s on the uplink. This makes it applicable for a wide range of feature-rich M2M and IoT applications, including smart lighting, hydropower area, smart watch, automobile date record and so on.

2. Latency
The Cat.1 standard has a latency of between 50 and 100 milliseconds.  It is more efficient than the lower-powered LTE IoT standards such as Cat M1 and NB-IoT, where the latency can be up to a few seconds. This enhances the efficiency of dimming and remote monitoring.

3. Power usage
Cat.1 supports standby and sleep modes, maximizing power efficiency.  It is particularly useful for industrial devices which deployed in hard-to-reach locations, in the mean it achieved the purpose of reducing maintenance and saving cost.

The features of Cat.1 for smart lighting include plug and play, report failure notification to server automatically, remotely reading real-time status and parameters etc. Cat.1 lamp controller is one of the Fonda's star product. Warmly welcome to attend in our booth (Hall 8, Stand M87)to learn more details about our products and communicate everything related to Smart city construction and smart lighting solutions.
