The first smart pole demonstration district in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province will soon be launched in Yinzhou District.
The project is built with the "FondaCity Platform", the intelligent city management system based on the Internet of Things developed by Fonda Tech. The existing 80+ street lights, signal lights, traffic signs, and video poles will be transformed to multi-pole, installed with 5G base stations, environmental monitoring, public help terminal, and other intelligent application devices. It is planned to start construction in mid-September and will be in operation within 2020.
At the same time, in the 1 square kilometer area of Yinzhou district, smart poles will be added by EMC form. The project will create a model of 5G micro base station operation. It is planned to be completed and in rollout in early 2021.
Smart pole, as an intensive smart city construction infrastructure, plays an important carrier role in the "new infrastructure". The pole can be equipped with 5G micro base stations, environmental monitoring, wireless AP, video monitoring system, advertising release system, one-key public help, network broadcasting, charging piles, and other equipment. Through big data, Internet of Things and cloud computing technologies, smart transportation, smart security, Intelligent information monitoring functions are integrated, so that the various subsystems are connected and interoperable. Smart light pole becomes information collection terminals of smart city, and the responsibility is assigned to each functional department, ultimately achieving a more efficient and orderly integrated city management.
